Establish a United States Medical Corps. The Corps will recruit medical doctors and nurses who will be hired by the government. These medical professionals will be asigned to a nationwide network of neighborhood, storefront walk in Primary Care Centers established by the government. The doctors and nurses will be paid salaries competitve to average physician and nurse compensation in the private sector and have no expense for liability insurance or clinical equipment and supplies.
Once establised the Coprs will recruit students to become doctors and nurses and pay for their education in return for XXX years of service in the new Corps----with the objective of having at least 100,000 doctors and 200,000 nurses in the coprs within 10 years.
This will in fact become the Public Option---
