Cuba is relatively poor as a nation and is not a threat to the United States in any way. A prosperous Cuba is in our best interest as it is so close to our own borders and a gateway to the rest of the Caribbean and Latin America.
By lifting trade sanctions, companies can trade food, materials, and all types of goods that would benefit both countries agricultural sales and economies.
By lifting travel restrictions we signify we are in a new world and ready to deal with Cuba as an equal nation.
