Universal background and mental health checks for publicly elected members of our government.

We the people require our leaders uphold to the same standards they wish the citizens to follow.We further require that law makers also have to undergo mental health checks prior to having their names placed on the ballots or prior to confirmation with all results being made public record. As the leaders of our nation it needs to be required that a universal background checks be ran on any citizen wishing to be appointed or elected and all current law makers/ appointees/ confirmees that hold an office in our federal government. As proposed in recent statements from our president a basic 2nd Amendment right should have to undergo a universal background check and mental health exam/s. We require our leaders uphold the same standards we the people are required to for our constitutional right
