Until the US's budget is 100% in order, both congressional members and White House members lose all salary and benefits.

With a round of upcoming budgetary issues in mid-October, this proposes that all members of Congress and the White House deemed responsible for creating a budget that gets our nation out of debt, be the first group to lose all salary and benefits of their positions--effective mid October, the current deadline.
If Congress and the Whte House can't balance US finances to permanently move toward a debt-free status, the American public should not be held fiscally responsible.
This petition also seeks, that if after a term of 6 months of no pay or benefits to those responsible for making such decisions the budget remains unsatisfactory, the US people be granted the opportunity to replace all politicians responsible for this decision on the grounds of negligence and dereliction of duty.
