Update the 27th Amendment of the Constitution; true regulation of Congressional Pay and Benefits.

Created by L.C. on December 31, 2012

The President should propose/sponsor a bill to 1) limit salaries for anyone elected to federal office to the equivalent of entry-level military base pay, 2) when the deadline for a budget bill has lapsed, for every day after, their salaries are suspended until the bill is passed, 3) no more lifetime salaries and benefits after serving 5 yrs (that's better than military benefits!), and 4) prerequisite to serving any federal office: at least 2 yrs in a public service position outside of politics (teacher, first responder, military).
