We, the undersigned, petition the American government to take active steps to updating our country's burdened 20th century infrastructure to match increased demand and to better withstand environmental stresses and emergencies. This would include a massive overhaul of our energy grid in order to accommodate heavier usage as well as taking into account poor weather and natural disasters. Internet services, of course, should be maintained and upgraded whenever possible. Our roads and bridges need repair or even replacement. We believe we should invest in all forms of public transit, including increased rail service and improved/renewed rail infrastructure.
