It is 5 times (500%) safer for a child to remain rear facing in a vehicle past one year and 20 pounds. A carseat manufacturer just changed their age requirement to 2 years old starting in 2015. Knowing children's spines are not strong enough to withstand a car accident sitting forward facing, until 4 years old, why is it okay to allow them to turn forward from rear facing at one year and 20 pounds?
We need the laws to change to reflect the most possible safety practices in all states!
It is our children's lives in question, here. Please sign the petition to stand up for extended rear facing laws!
