Update election laws in order to treat the vote of every US citizen as equal

Created by J.H. on January 02, 2013

The electoral college is an outdated system that gives the votes of individuals in "swing" states to be significantly more importance than the votes of citizens in other areas. Furthermore, due to gerrymandered districts, the House of Representatives is not at all representative of the wishes of voters even in state-by-state popular votes. Additionally, poor standards for voting machines and access to the vote further limit our election process. Finally, residents of the District of Columbia are entitled to representation Congress, which they do not currently have. We demand immediate change in order to give ALL eligible US citizens equal voting rights, with mathematically determined districts, representation for DC, abolition of the electoral college and voting oversight boards.
