update FDA research on food additives in the food supply. Impact to children. Preservatives and Food Dyes such as Red 40

Created by J.S. on January 16, 2013

I believe that our food supply is tainted with harmful ingredients. United States research in the safety of these dyes and preservatives is decades old and needs update. Some of these chemicals come from petroleum and are not naturally made. Other countries have instituted bans based on behavioral issues in studies with children.

I have seen first hand the damage that can be caused by at least Red40 and Sodium benzoate as a trigger for Behavioral problems lasting days in both of my children. I contacted the FDA and received no response to my inquiry 2 years ago. I would like an updated response from the FDA regarding all non-naturally created food dyes and preservatives that are used in the food system.
