Update Federal and State Child Maltreatment Mandated Reporting Guidelines

Created by P.M. on April 17, 2013

We respectfully request the Obama Administration to review and update the Child Maltreatment Mandated Reporting Guidelines. It is clear, Mr. President, by research and report completed from the collection of the CHILD MALTREATMENT REPORT FFY 2011 provided by the Children's Bureau and reported into the National Child Abuse and Neglect Data Systems, there is a need for review of requirements needed and time frame allotted to initiate and complete an investigation once a report has been made. Also, to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all our country's children it is necessary to require all reports pass through three steps before it can be dismissed.
1) The initial call intake worker
2) Review by the representative for that specific area
3) Review by dept. supervisor
