Many Garbage and Recyclable transport trucks on the road are obsolete. The average only receive about 3 miles to the gallon. These emissions cause a large strain upon our environment as well as violating our clean air standards. This also causes us to spend billions of dollars importing unnecessary foreign oil since each truck guzzles approximately 8.5 thousand gallons of gas a year. With about 179,000 of these vehicles in the United States this adds up to about 1,539,400,000 gallons. Help me ask the White House to clean up our waste collection services as well as our environment by switching to more fuel efficient vehicles and practices.
