Update the Making Home Affordable Refinance plan to remove borrower credit score limitations for application.

Created by T.W. on December 16, 2011

While we appreciate the strides made to assist homeowners with Making Home Affordable, we believe more should be done. Too many borrowers are being told by their lenders that they do not qualify for Home Affordable refinance because of their credit scores. These borrowers have made on time mortgage payments, some for years, and are within the limitations of owing less than 130% of home value. But they are turned away from the program soley based on credit score. It is our belief that if a borrower has made one time payments and has a genuine desire to remain in their home they should be allowed to refinance under Making Home Affordable and get a lower mortgage payment. Please petition to allow all borrowers to refinance regardless of past credit problems.
