We request that the President and the NPS remove Emma Lazarus' poem ("...give me your tired, your poor...") from the Statue of Liberty and Liberty Island and replace it with a new poem that more accurately reflects the reality of America's views regarding immigrants. We further request that the poem be written by a member of Congress to be chosen by the President.
