All denominations of paper currency in the US are currently printed on the same size, shape, and weight of paper with no convenient means for the visually impaired to distinguish different denominations of bills. The U.S. government has laws requiring private companies to accommodate people with various disabilities, yet we've been negligent in making our paper money accessible for the blind. Other countries have their paper currency distinguishable by touch in various ways: some make different denominations of bills different sizes, others have Braille dots imprinted on the bills. There may be many other more innovative features that would also suffice.
Please help out the blind by updating our paper currency to use one or more tactile features indicating the denomination.
