uphold anti-segregation policies.

Created by G.H. on February 14, 2014

In 1954, the Supreme Court overturned Plessy v Ferguson, stating that the ruling was "inherently unequal". In the past week, two states, Kansas and Tennessee, have begun working towards segregating the LGBT population.

It is the Federal Gov't's job to protect all its citizens, regardless of race, religion, gender or sexual orientation. If these two states are allowed to pass these bills that actively allow discrimination, then this nation will have failed not only the people but the ideals for which it was originally founded.

If the Federal and State Governments cannot come to terms then ALL governments in this nation should not be allowed to preside over them and all couples should be covered by the same rights.
