We the people ask the federal government to Call on Congress to act on an issue:

Uphold the nonpartisan supreme court established by our founders

Created by M.H. on November 10, 2016

Shortly after the Civil War, the number of seats on the Court was fixed at nine. That standard, a nine justice nonpartisan court, is charged with upholding our constitution to bind and limit any one generation from ruling according to the passion of the times. This nonpartisan issue is our first chance to come together as centrists and repair the divide our nation feels. We the people of the United States demand that our President and our elected representatives in Congress appoint a nonpartisan Supreme Court Justice before the end of the current Presidential term.

We call upon you now, on the eve of Veterans' Day, to uphold your sworn promise to the country and the Constitution of the United States of America and to preserve the checks and balances that make our nation viable.
