When our founding fathers drafted the Constitution and the Bill of Rights, it was AFTER taking our independence from England, and creating a free Republic. This republic has survived for more than 200 years from the simple doctrains drafted by those very men.
The second amendment was placed into the Bill of Rights due to the needed use of force to declare freedom from a tyrannical form of government, and it was placed in the Bill of Rights to preserve the freedom that this country has come to know.
The choice of fireamrs is not a question. If we, the people of the United States of America need to reclaim our freedom from tyranny again, this RIGHT, not priviledge shall not be infringed.
