The American people have had enough of the continued erosion of our basic rights and freedoms in the name of national security.
We will no longer tolerate the existence of a shadow legal system that allows massive, warrantless surveillance authorized by secret courts interpreting secret laws.
Mr. President, we will not just let this go. Your executive orders and state secrets privileges are not the supreme law of the land. The Constitution you swore to uphold is, and it has no national security exemption.
We demand reforms that will allow all innocent Americans access to any government records about themselves, limit the NSA's abuse of national security exemptions to deny Freedom of Information requests, and empower a transparent, public investigation into any domestic spying programs.
