When the founding fathers created the second amendment, it was not meant for hunting or sport shooting, it was meant as a last defense against government tyranny. Many people scoff at this, saying it is ludicrous, but it is very possible the government could become tyrannical, it's happened in the past with many countries, and america is not immune, we already see heavy corruption, and the restriction of our second amendment is just the beginning. The second amendment speaks of a well regulated militia, we the people are that militia, and the militia is to have the weapons of their time, that doesnt mean handguns, that means ar-15s, assault rifles. we were not to have our rights restricted. The first step to government tyranny to be sure the people cannot fight back. Protect our rights!
