As terminally ill human beings, we demand clean and safe living conditions. We demand a psychiatric hospital setting where we do not live in fear of being raped by doctors and patients, being stabbed by spoons sharpened to a point, tortured by poorly monitored ECT or from being in isolation, or drugged to the point of uselessness. We demand the basic rights of safe, before expiration date drinks and meals, clean, warm blankets, and access to proper sanitation (i.e. soap). We demand access to clocks, cell phone and internet use, and being under the care of real doctors, not politicians or bureaucrats looking to make an easy buck. In addition, we demand that mental health discrimination be placed in Suspect Classification to guarantee liberty and justice for all.
