Ugandan President Museveni signed into law on February 24, 2014 a bill that makes some homosexual acts punishable by life in prison. Also included is punishment -- up to seven years in prison -- for people and institutions who perform same-sex marriage ceremonies.
The law also incites hateful acts such as publication of names of 200 suspected gay people in hope they will be shunned and harassed.
Just as the U.S. and civilized nations boycotted South Africa during apartheid, so should we use any political or business tools at our disposal to clearly object to this violation of human rights.
While we as a national may not agree on everything - we all - including Christians and gay people - must stand clear in our advocacy of equal human rights for all.
