Urge the Canadian Government to behave in accordance with United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples

Created by G.P. on January 19, 2013

On October 18, 2012 the Harper Government introduced bill C-45 which is in direct violation of articles 8, 18, 19, 26, 27, 29, 32, 37 and 38 of the Untied Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples.

For too long this government has trampled on First Nations rights by polluting their water, underfunding their schools, healthcare and now this.

We urge you to pressure the Canadian Government in promoting respect for and full application of the provisions in the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples as to help ensure that the rights of Canada's First Nations people are fully respected.
