Guo Feixiong is a human rights activist in China. He was arrested and sentenced to jail for 11 years totally. Now he is ill, but the Chinese authorities took advantage of his sickness and forced a humiliating rectal exam on him, recorded it, and threatened to post it online. This humiliation caused Guo to start a hunger strike on May 9th, and today is the 42th day. He is in a very poor health condition. He has received repeated humiliations in jail, and the jail tries to hide these facts from the public. We don’t want Guo Feixiong to die like Cao Shunli in 2014 due to the lack of medical care. Hence we start a petition to urge President Obama to use the Special Procedures communications to call for a compassionate release of Guo Feixiong so he can get an independent medical treatment.
