urge the Chinese government to free US citizen Xue, Manzi who is under custody for advocating freedom of speech in China

Created by J.R. on September 15, 2013

U.S. citizen Xue, Manzi who is a verified celebrity with more than 10 million followers on the Chinese microblogging service "Weibo" is now under custody for continuously tweeting the awful truths about the Chinese society over the years. Under the most recent explanation(came out after Xue in custody) given by the Chinese supreme court, one can be charged with "disturbing the public order" for having more than 500 retweets on weibo about things that are "not true"(The "truths" here include personal believes, political views and political appeals). Obviously this new Chinese supreme court explanation is a part of the coming political movement which is targeting on freedom of speech. Now an innocent U.S. citizen is in a Chinese prison. This is an diplomatic matter, we should do something.
