Urge colleges and universities to provide discounted or free housing to domestically abused students.

Created by I.D. on June 21, 2014

Colleges and University tuitions have been rising, but we all know that already. A subject people hear about as much is domestic abuse towards students who are still in high school. These children experience physical, psychological, and emotional abuse which causes them to go into depression and gain a sense of hopelessness. Since most students graduate high school at the age of eighteen, they are legally allowed to emancipate themselves from their parents. However, this poses to be a problem to students who have no place to go, and don't have any income of their own to pay for their own place to stay.

This is why I propose that institutions of higher education should provide victims of domestic abuse with free or discounted housing to assist them while at the same time relieving costs.
