Urge Congress to Advance Fed. Legislation Requiring Personal Liability Insurance of Firearms

Created by P.K. on December 16, 2012

We are required to carry personal liability insurance to drive automobiles because they are potentially lethal weapons.

We submit the same is true with regard to guns, which were invented for the military.

We urge Congress to bring foth and pass a bill which would require:

1. Personal liability insurance policies be purchased by each gun owner for each gun owned in at least the minimum amounts the state requires for an automobile; and

2. Private sector insurance issuers be responsible for thorougly conducting background checks, including mental health, criminal, etc. (consents & release forms would be provided to ins. issues by potential gun owner).
