Urge Congress to amend bankruptcy laws to include all college student loan debt.

Created by G.D. on November 20, 2015

As we are all aware, college student loan debts have been rapidly increasing, and default rates are too high. The Federal government has continually guaranteed access to student loans, which in turn has substantially contributed to constantly rising and outrageous higher education costs. This has made the Federal government very reluctant to include student debt in bankruptcy law.

The U.S. Constitution allows Congress to:

“To establish…uniform Laws on the subject of Bankruptcies throughout the United States.”

The Constitution is a non-partisan document, that can offer viable solutions to everyday problems in the U.S. But we must show strength in numbers through support to urge Congress to pass reasonable, Constitutional legislation that will help fix a very real problem simultaneously.
