Urge Congress to Cease Production of the American Penny

The White House and President Obama need to realize the true facts about the disadvantages of continuing to produce the one-cent coin, otherwise known as the American penny, and urge the United States Congress to propose and pass a bill to cease production of the American penny. Already, according to CNN, it costs 2.4 cents to make a penny. This is a direct fact that proves we need to evaluate the production of the penny. Along with the facts that it takes the average American two seconds to earn one cent, and all toll booths (except in Illinois) and vending machines do not except pennies, and therefore they are obsolete.
