Urge Congress to give Citizens the Right to Influence Congressional Agendas.

Whitehouse.gov gives citizens the right to have their voices heard by the executive branch of our government. Our voice should be heard in Congress as well. We the undersigned call on the current administration, and on Congress, to establish a web-based public-opinion system allowing US citizens to:

1.) Cast an official popular vote for or against proposed legislation. This vote should not alone serve to alter the legislation in any way. It should be an official poll, running for no less than three days immediately prior to Congress' final vote. During this time, Congress may alter the bill only in the form of amendments. Citizens may;

2.) Vote on official amendments to proposed legislation. In addition, citizens may;

3.) Propose and vote on popular amendments to proposed legislation.
