Urge congress to legalize marijuana at the federal level.

Created by W.F. on January 30, 2014

Although the administration has chosen not to enforce existing federal law and arrest marijuana growers and dispensery operators in the states where the substance's use is legal, this situation could change very quickly depending on the outcome of the next presidential election, placing the livelihoods of those in the marijuana business in great jeopardy. Additionally, legalized marijuana remains unregulated, meaning that tainted or diseased crops are frequently sent to dispenseries for purchase, endangering the lives of customers. Should marijuana become federally legalized, these issues could be fixed. And as the President has declared that he does not believe marijuana to be a dangerous drug, there is no rational option other than to end its prohibition.
