Urge Congress to pass the .5% Federal Employee Pay Raise.

Created by B.D. on February 15, 2013

We petition the Obama Administration to urge Congress to pass the .5% Federal Employee Pay Raise that was voted down by the House of Representatives. Federal employee salaries comprise roughly 70 billion dollars annually, and a .5% raise would be approximately 350 million dollars. We suggest that minor cuts from the 700 billion dollars in Department of Defense contractor spending, 100 million dollars in Congressional salaries and 1 billion dollars in Congressional Office Staff salaries could easily offset this token raise.
