Urge Congress to pass H. Res 412 requiring a monthly reading of US Soldiers that die in combat.

Created by D.B. on April 06, 2014

During my third deployment, I was taking part in a weekly ritual: everyone in the operations center would stand at attention while the names of our fallen comrades were read aloud. Despite never recognizing a name, I used this time to recenter and remind myself why we were there. Unfortunately, one day in April, I recognized a name, Lt Chris Mosko. As I stood there in disbelief, hearing his name, I decided others should too.

On November 14, 2013 H. Res 412 was introduced and would require a monthly reading of combat casualties in Congress. However, despite receiving bipartisan support it stalled in committee.

I request the administration issue a statement in support of this effort and urge Congress to pass this resolution.
