It is long past the time to remove assault weapons & high capacity magazines from the hands of non-military personnel. How many tragedies involving "active shooters," armed to the teeth with these weapons & high capacity magazine, and who are thus capable of sustained fire is it going to take? By simply forcing these shooters to stop to reload, in places like Aurora, Newtown, and Umpqua, many, many lives could have been saved.
