The 2nd amendment guarantees the right of the people to bear arms. When confronted with a home invasion, home owners should not have to worry about being sued before deciding to protect themselves and their families. Several states already have laws like this on the books. It's time for the federal government to side with responsible gun owners and defend their right to the legitimate use of lethal force without fear of being sued by criminals' families.
