Since the 1980's the cost of living has continued to rise while real wages have remained stagnant. Raising the minimum wage would provide relief to millions of working poor, stimulate demand, increase corporate revenues and promote hiring. American workers deserve fair compensation for their time and toil. It's time to urge congress to pass legislation to raise the minimum wage.
