urge Congress to revert "Section 179" limits back to 2013 levels for the next several years.

Created by J.P. on February 19, 2014

Section 179 was designed to spur small business capital purchases and thus increase both small business and economic growth. It isn't a tax loophole, rather it allows for accelerated depreciation of purchases thus stimulating small businesses to invest in equipment and other "large ticket items." The current $25,000 limit put the brakes on small business spending and should be retroactively reset to 2013 levels until the economy is strong and healthy for a sustained duration.
