Solar Roadways.
A group has created a road way "paver" that can generate enough electricity that if the unusable roads, driveways, parking lots, and sidewalks where replaced with these solar panels, they would generate roughly 3 times the entire power usage of the all 50 states in the USA.
We don't need to do this because its the new thing, or its cool. We need to reduce our dependence on fossil fuels to save our environment and humanities destructive influence on the planet.
These solar panels include LED lights and heating elements to light up the road at night and keep them free of ice and snow in the winter.
