The Department of Homeland Security and it's employees have engaged in severe violations of Human Rights. Nearly 150 agents have been arrested from this agency since 2005 for corruption. Nearly 2,170 agents have been arrested for non-corruption charges. In 2011, the Department of Homeland Security Inspector General received 900 complaints of corruption from Agents. On March 13, 2014, a Border Patrol Agent took into custody two undocumented individuals and brutally raped and tortured them. Allegations also exist of Department of Homeland Security personnel stealing and robbing from undocumented individuals as well. Employment qualifications seem to be deficient and this department needs further oversight and revamping of it's existing policies to protect those they are charged to serve.
