Urge the DEA to Move Hydrocodone Prescription Drugs from Schedule II back to Schedule III

As of October 6, 2014, any prescriptions for a hydrocodone based painkiller cannot be written with refills, but rather a new prescription must be written every time a patient requires more of the medication that often helps them function through their daily pain. This requires an appointment every time a prescription runs out, which can cause doctors to have to overschedule. Furthermore, these new regulations make it much more difficult for pharmacies to stock the correct amount of medication, as many experienced over the holidays, as they could not get their needed medication. These regulations have only served to harm people with chronic pain, and we ask the Obama Administration to urge the DEA to reverse their decision on the scheduling of hydrocodone based prescription drugs.
