After the superstorm Sandy roared through the areas of Long Island in New York State, many things happened. Amongst them were the ceasing of the delivery of electrical power to the homes which were either damaged or otherwise rendered unlivable in because power stopped flowing to them. The power company LIPA is supposed to restore power to them within twenty four to forty eight hours. It has been much longer then that. So far there are news reports of crews doing largely nothing, including those that came here from elsewhere. The company should be charged under an appropriate statue for this display of negligence, especially they are making it impossible for the citizens of New York State who live in the effected areas to live and work.
