Jonathan Papelbon needs to go. His presence on the Nationals appears to have contributed to locker room turmoil and his televised attack on Bryce Harper was disgraceful. Moreover, since arriving in D.C., Papelbon has not even pitched like the dominant closer that his defenders purport that he is. He needs to go. Fans of the Nationals do not want him on our team, and residents of the District of Columbia do not want him in our city. President Obama, as a fellow D.C. resident, should drop subtle or not so subtle hints to Nationals management that he really does not want to have to share a city with Papelbon.
