It seems that both parties are constantly asking the poor, seniors and middle class to take pay cuts, cuts in benefits as well as cuts in their pension as a way to help stimulate the economy.
As a good faith measure that they truly mean business and believe that these cuts will stimulate the economy, then cut your pay by 10%, raise the age that you may receive your pension (as well as making it no longer a guarantee for life, especially if only 1 term in office) and cut your lush benefits.
Your one sided lush pay scale, benefit package and pensions plans were not voted for by US - your employers, YOU (or your predecessor) voted for them in the first place. If we have to take these cuts to help stimulate the economy then so should you!
