We made a mistake in Afghanistan by training Mujehedin who turned into Al- Qaida terrorists and been hurting US interest for last 3 decades. Doing same mistake by supporting financially and militarily so called freedom fighters in Syria will carry grave consequences. These salafi, wahabi & takfiri are Saudi sponsored terrorists who in the end will be deleterious and a threat to US interest in the middle east. Instead it would be prudent to negotiate with dictator but a secular Bashar al Asad. toppling him is not in US interest. Direct negotiation with Iran & Syria would be better than arming terrorists in the guise of rebels. These rebels are threat to all minorities including Christians, Alawaites, shiites and average Syrians. Ask Saudia to stop funding terrorists and extremists.
