One of the biggest issues of the twenty first centuries is Climate change. Many look to the production of greenhouse gassed as the cause but this is being solved with the introduction of new technologies.
Something that isn't being solved is deforestation. It is vital for us to slow the rate of deforestation for many reasons. One is extinction. At the rate forests are being cut down the Orangutan and Gorilla could be extinct in twenty years.(http://news.nationalgeographic.com/news/2003/09/0930_030930_orangutanthr...).
Second is greenhouse gasses that will not be eliminated by trees.
Third is natural disasters such as flooding and mud slides.
I encouraging the Obama Administration to work with countries like Honduras, Niagara and The Philippines to reduce deforestation.
