We the people ask the federal government to Propose a new Administration policy:

Urge President Obama to establish a study on the impact of slavery in America.

Created by L.F. on December 06, 2016

Earlier this year, Illinois State Representative La Shawn K. Ford introduced House Resolution (HR) 1011. HR 1011, through bipartisan efforts, was adopted by the IL House Restorative Justice Committee and unanimously recommended by the entire IL House of Representatives on June 30, 2016. The IL House of Representatives hereby requests President Obama to commission a study on slavery and its impact on African American families. On Jan 20, 2017, President Obama will turn the power of the presidency over to Mr. Trump, so this would be President Obama’s last chance to make history from the White House. It is crucial, and more appropriate now than ever before, that President Obama use his Executive Order to commission a study.
