We, the people of the United States of America, ask President Obama and the United States Government to urge the Pro-Russian militants in the city of Donetsk, Ukraine, to cease all activities relating to the forced registration of Jewish citizens in this city. Regrettably, these activities appear eerily similar to the anti-semitic actions taken against Jews in Nazi Germany during World War II. World leaders and Jewish groups additionally have condemned the leaflets that were handed to Jews exiting a synagogue in Donetsk, Ukraine. Please note that this issue itself does not directly relate to the ongoing Crimean Crisis in the area of Eastern Ukraine. The people of the United States of America insist that the rights of humans everywhere, regardless of their religion, be protected.
