We the people ask the federal government to Call on Congress to act on an issue:

Urge the Secretary of Defense to take immediate steps to appoint doctors of chiropractic as commissioned officers

Created by K.F. on July 14, 2016

On October 23, 1992 the Secretary of Defense was given the liberty to appoint Doctors of Chiropractic as commissioned officers into the armed forces, since that time 9 different individuals have held the office and none of them have acted on this authorization.

Musculoskeletal injuries are one of if not the leading factor affecting the combat readiness of the men and women in the armed forces. Chiropractors are uniquely trained to provide non-pharmaceutical treatments for musculoskeletal injuries. It's time we give active duty members and veterans the option of Chiropractic care.
