Urge the Senate to eliminate its supermajority cloture rules beginning with its 2015 session.

Created by T.V. on December 15, 2012

The gridlock that afflicts our Federal government begins with the gridlock that afflicts the United States Senate. That gridlock in turn is rooted in Senate rules that require a supermajority of Senators to close debate on any action. The Senate needs to end this serious flaw in its rules, but to avoid current political distractions, it should implement the change to take effect at some future time such as the beginning of its session in 2015 or even afterwards.
