The Bi-partisan Compassionate Access, Research Expansion and Respect States Act allows for veterans living in states with legalized medical marijuana to use and be prescribed medical marijuana without prosecution. Currently, even in legalized states with the appropriate licenses, veterans in possession of medical marijuana can be Court Marshaled.
As medicinal uses for marijuana are being presented by doctors and scientists around the world, it has become an accepted form of treatment in over 20 states. The Obama administration is no longer enforcing federal anti-medical marijuana laws, and has cut said enforcement funding entirely. To continue to deny medical cannabis to veterans in need of treatment is blatantly unacceptable, as they sacrifice to protect us every day.
