The USDA has a given amount of resources and money to help those with low income, however one of their regulations is that college students cannot receive SNAP assistance due to the fact they get student loans. These student loans take years, if not decades to repay. Students are only allowed to borrow against whatever there degrees are so not all college students can borrow enough to live on.
